The Deaf Centre

The facilities at the Centre in Summerhill Square are available for hire. We have a number of rooms to suit a variety of events: business meetings, training sessions, family parties and celebrations. The following prices are for Monday to Friday, for evening hire and at the weekend the price is £35 per hour.

Lecture Room

The large Lecture room on the ground floor has capacity for up to 70 people with a stage at one end and a kitchen next door for catering.
Cost to hire mid-week: £100 for the full day or £50 for half a day.

Large Meeting Room

The large Meeting room on the first floor has capacity for up to 75 people, with a bar at one end and a 50" flat screen TV.
Cost to hire mid-week: £100 for the full day or £50 for half a day.

Small Meeting Room

The small Meeting room on the first floor has capacity for up to 25 people.
Cost to hire mid-week: £80 for the full day or £40 for half a day.

Catering

Catering can be arranged on request.

Equipment

Various items of equipment can be arranged with sufficient notice before the date of the event, such as:

  • Projector,
  • TV,
  • DVD,
  • Photocopying,
  • Flip Chart Paper.

Accessibility

We have a lift to all floors and wheelchair access via a ramp to the front door at No. 2 as well as fully-equipped disabled toilets. There are some free parking spaces available please ask for permits upon arrival.

Cancellation

Please note that a cancellation fee of £20 is payable for cancellation made less than 5 working days before the event.
